Video: Urban Adventurers Scale 660 Meter Tall Shenzhen Tower in

While we often marvel at the efforts of climbers who go up a sheer rock race, there are so impressive climbs being done in urban environments as well. Take for example the one shown in this video, during which a couple of daring urban adventurers scale the 660 meter (2165 ft) tall Shenzhen Tower in China. While this is certainly a very different climb from what we're use to seeing, it is none the less a challenging feat to reach the top of this building in what is certainly an illegal manner. The views from the top are pretty impressive though, and while I wouldn't necessarily condone these types of activities, I can respect those who do them, and bring us great video footage of their efforts.

Video: The Winning Run at the Valparaiso Urban Mountain Bike Race

A few days back I shared a video of a pro-rider racing through the streets of Valparaiso, Chile as part of the urban downhill race that is held there each year. The course for the race includes some unexpected obstacles, including stairs, narrow streets, jumps, ramps, and a variety of other challenges. This video, which comes our way courtesy of EpicTV, is the winning run that posted by Filip Polc who had his GoPro camera on the entire way. Needless to say, it is a quite the clip, and not for the faint of heart.

Video: Downhill Urban Mountain Bike Racing in Valparaiso, Chile

One of the more insane urban mountain bike races that takes part on an annual basis is held in Valparaiso, Chile where pro-riders race through the streets on a narrow course that includes stairs, ramps, banks, and other obstacles that have to be seen to be believed. The video below was shot on that wild course over the past weekend, and gives viewers a very intense view of what it is like to ride   this event. The narrow route looks difficult enough, but when you add in screaming fans just a few feet away, it gets even more intense. This is one mountain biking route I'm more than happy to watch on video and not try to ride myself. Crazy stuff!

Video: Downhill Urban Mountain Biking in Colombia

I always love a good mountain biking video, especially ones that show a rider zipping through some unbelievable setting. But I also have a soft spot for videos like this one, where some of the world's top riders take on an urban course lined with fans as they ride down stairs, across cobblestone streets, in and around buildings, and other unusual obstacles. In this case, we follow World Cup rider Marcelo Gutierrez as he bombs his way through the streets of his hometown of Manizales, Colombia. As you'll see, the ride is a wild one, even though it goes directly through the heart of the city.
