Video: On The Edge of Darkness
Timelapse video of the night skies rarely disappoint, and this video is no exception. Shot over a two-week period in Utah, the images seen here are both awe inspiring and incredibly humbling. The countless starts overhead provide an amazing sense of scale, while the rocky backdrop is spectacular too. This is one of those clips that you'll want to save for future reference, as it is as mesmerizing on subsequent viewing as it is on the first.

Video: Defined by the Line - Fighting to Protect the Bears Ears in Utah
This short film is brought to us by the fine folks at Patagonia and the Bears Ears Coalition, a group that was formed to protect a region in the state of Utah that holds particular cultural and historical significance. The site, which features breathtaking landscapes, is also home to Native American dwellings and artwork that date back as much as 12,000 years. The video below gives us a glimpse of that place, and the efforts of climber Josh Ewing to try to save it from careless visitors and oil drilling on nearby lands. The 7+ minute documentary is filled with gorgeous landscapes and amazing archeological sites that have to be seen to be believed. The video is worth watching for the eye-candy alone, but the message it conveys is an important one too.

Video: Climbing Brutal Routes in Moab
This beautiful video comes our way courtesy of my friends over at EpicTV. It follows rock climber Pat Kingsbury as he travels to Moab, Utah to take on some incredibly tough big wide crack routes in January. The climbing is difficult, the landscapes are beautiful, and the entire short film is great to look at. It also gives us a great sense of why Moab is such a popular place for climbers. There are just so many challenges there, with some of the most spectacular scenery in the entire American West.

Shot in Wyoming, Utah, and South Dakota, this fantastic video features some beautiful timelapse images from the American West. The landscapes are striking, dramatic, and awe inspiring to say the least. This is one of those videos you just want to sit back and enjoy, absorbing the entire experience while it lasts. At just four minutes in length, it is over far too quickly.

Video: BASE Jumping From the Space Net in Moab
You have to hand it to the BASE jumpers, they'll go to elaborate lengths to pursue their sport. In this video, BASE-er Matt Blank builds a giant "space net" to extend over a canyon near Moab, Utah. In some ways it looks like a massive spiderweb suspended over the landscape. He then proceeds out to the net, and jumps through a hole in the center. It is a long way down to the rocky floor below, but he pulls his trusty chute in time to enjoy the ride and the view.

Video: Utah's Desert Towers as Seen From the Air
Utah's desert towers are some of the most iconic places for climbers. Stretching hundreds of feet into the sky, this rock pillars have stood for thousands of years as monuments to geological change. Recently, climbers Brandon Fisher, Ken Schulte, and Luke Humphrey traveled to the Utah desert to climb some of the rock towers that dot the landscape there. They also took a drone along with them to capture some of their adventure. The result is this fantastic short film that will leave you breathless with its beauty. This is an amazing video of some of the most incredible landscapes in the entire U.S., and it should not be missed.
